e3i’s own William Leuci participated in this year’s Make-A-Wish Wildcat 100k Challenge held at Wildcat Mountain on March 12, 2018. This charity event supports Make-A-Wish New Hampshire.
Make-A-Wish is a nationwide organization aiming to better the lives of those with life-threatening diseases. Over the course of the past 14 years this event has been held over $921,000 dollars have been raise for this cause.
All participants of this event were required to raise a minimum of $250. William surpassed this goal by raising a total of $4,500 for the organization while helping contribute to the grand total of $43,000. Great work by everyone! This money will go directly to Make-A-Wish New Hampshire in efforts to grant another child’s wish.
The Wildcat 100K Challenge consisted of 48 runs down Wildcat’s Lynx Trail, covering over 100,074 ft of vertical terrain. Racers skied 84.6 total miles over the course of 8 plus hours.
It was an amazing day for all with great conditions.
Image note: the photo with the full crowd inside shows two sisters in the front, who are “wish kids”. One of these little girls had her wish granted after having had five open heart surgeries in her short nine years of life. Make-a-Wish granted her wish to go to Hawaii with her family to swim with the dolphins.
