Acting as the owner’s IT Project Manager, e3i is the eyes and ears of Mass General Brigham’s internal IT and engineering divisions, ensuring all low voltage infrastructure is correctly designed and coordinated with other disciplines on this brand new clinical building for Massachusetts General Hospital.
Once construction is complete, the building will include inpatient and outpatient clinical space, room for support services, areas designed to enhance both staff and patient experiences, and an underground parking garage.
Designed by the architectural/engineering design team, e3i is responsible for reviewing system designs and ensuring best practices and appropriate standards are met while also coordinating with the engineering and construction teams. Rigorous reporting and budget maintenance protocols are critical to project success. Scheduled weekly meetings allow e3i and the Mass General Brigham team to review progress and address any key issues that may arise regarding IT systems procurement, operation, and installation. Special care is taken to assure the most modern technology is used today while also maintaining enough flexibility to integrate with future innovations. These systems are critical to allow this innovative, world-renowned hospital to seamlessly share information and technology, both internally among multiple buildings and departments, as well as externally with other groundbreaking doctors and research institutions.
